Business Travel Consultant

We are seeking several experienced Business Travel Consultants to join a successful and forward thinking travel company, working in the office or working fully from home (After successful completion of probation). Ideal for an experienced Business Travel Consultant seeking career progression and a great working environment. Monday to Friday daytime hours available along with out of hours. This dynamic travel company offers an array of travel services across the globe to corporate travellers.

Business Travel Consultant Duties:

• Arranging and creating corporate travel and offering a cutting edge customer service.
• Booking a range of travel services including flights, hotel, rail, travel extras etc.
• Arranging travel to non-standard and multi destinations.
• Handling ticket exchanges and complex fares.
• Using GDS to secure flights – cross training provided.
• Liaising with suppliers to secure travel.
• Communicating requests in a positive and friendly manner.

What it takes to be a Business Travel Consultant;

• Our client use a variety of travel systems so previous experience working as a Travel Consultant either in Business Travel, or leisure travel is essential
• GDS experience needed
• Working knowledge of airline, rail fares and ticketing is desirable but not essential
• The ability to think logically and consider all relevant aspects
• The ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced environment
• Proven customer service experience, working with calls and emails
• Computer literate with experience of email and web based programs
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
